Friendmas Dinner was a dinner evening hosted by Snapchat: long tables, candlelight, a menu with Snapchat branding and guests sharing the night in the app.

The film moves through the evening from arrival to dessert: first faces, the menu, wine, laughter and small gifts on the tables.

Snapchat screens are built into the shots – the group chat of the evening floats next to the guests who are writing in it, so the product is part of the story instead of an insert.

Showing an app at a dinner without breaking the mood. Instead of cutting to screen recordings, the chat appears right beside the people using it, in the warm light of the room.
